IPOD Accessories

There are thirteen different IPOD accessories available to IPOD owners. These vary in price and can be bought either directly through the Apple Store or licensed Apple product dealers.

The accessories include:

  • iPod Hi-Fi – home stereo sound with rich and quality sound; comes with a universal docking system and remote control
  • iPod Universal Dock – connects to your home desktop or laptop for convenient synchronization and battery charging; can also be used with televisions, stereos and speakers
  • leather case – Italian hand-crafted leather to protect IPOD; fits like a glove, but allows easy access to the device
  • Apple remote – plugs into the universal docking system to allow it to be used when controlling multiple things – speakers, home stereo system, television, etc.; allows viewing and usage of all IPOD features through these systems
  • IPOD radio remote – allows you to wirelessly pick up FM radio stations on an IPOD; also comes with headphones
  • USB power adapter – allows battery charging using a basic three pronged wall plug socket
  • Socks – a cheaper version of the leather case that resembles a sock; comes in varied colors and fit all IPOD models
  • IPOD camera connector – connects to your digital camera for easy storage and the ability to transfer the photos to your IPOD
  • AV connection kit – special accessory kit, including USB to dock connector cable, USB power adapter, universal dock and IPOD AV cable; all that is needed to connect an IPOD to a television or home stereo
  • Car charger – to connect to car stereos
  • Boat charger – to connect to boat stereos
  • FM transmitter – picks up IPOD tunes and sends them through a home stereo

  • Microphones
  • External hard drives

With IPODs being so popular and the need to combine computer, IPOD, stereo and television systems into one, Apple offers so many options and IPOD accessories. It is how possible to listen to FM radio stations wirelessly, whether on the go with the IPOD, or hook this combined system up to your boat or computer/desktop, without the need for separate systems. Recharging can be done at home or in the car. Even external hard drives can be used to increase the storage ability of your IPOD, without the need for huge bulky computerized versions. As Apple creates new advancements, it may soon be possible to accessorize your IPOD like a computer.
