IPOD Cases
IPOD owners were once limited to simple leather cases and woven socks to protect and show off their gadgets, but now there are not only more varieties and colors to choose from, but some licensed dealers are now able to let owners design their own customized cases. Customized cases are becoming the norm and cost around the same as regular IPOD cases.
The latest craze in customized IPOD case includes the silicone variety for adults and children. They easily repel dust and lint, but are solidly made, protecting your IPOD’s wheel and screen as well as stopping accidental input into its system.
Other IPOD cases include the traditional leather variety, now available in a multitude of eye catching colors. The aluminum case has a space-age look and hard exterior. What about an animal lover’s case? iFrogz, a licensed IPOD accessory retailer has a broad range of cuddly cases, ranging from striped zebras to faux snake skin. They also offer a selection of waterproof cases for rainy days or boating expeditions.
Some cases are now coming complete with headphones and specially designed openings to ensure your connection is equally as protected as the IPOD itself. Some even allow screen views with flaps that button over them, similar to cell phone cases.
When buying an IPOD case, there are some factors to take into consideration. A good case does not have to cost a fortune, though it is still true that you get what you pay for. The case should have tight and secure stitching that does not unravel or have loose ends, allowing the case to fall apart and risk losing your IPOD. The case should also come with a belt clip or arm clip for easy transport. The fabric or covering should be sturdy enough to buffer the IPOD from most minor bumps and if possible, strong enough to resist the impact of accidentally dropping it. If the case is just used for storage and transport, it should cover all parts of the IPOD and have a tight snap to prevent the IPOD from slipping out. If the case is just used for protection and transport, snap sections should allow easy access for quick operation. However, caution should be exercised when using so-called waterproof cases because though they are supposed to be rainproof, if the rain is torrential the chances are that the case will get wet and soak through.
